The Imperial Knighthoods are made up of three orders; Knights of the Lance, Knights of the Trilium, and Knights of the Phoenix. Together, these Knights make up the backbone of the Imperial Silver Dragonarmy
The standard of the Dragonarmy reflects the aforementioned fact, as it is made up of a black lance held by a blue Phoenix which is set on/above a violet trilium. All are set on a field of silver.
The Symbol of the Knights of the Phoenix is a Blue Phoenix, usually with silver accents and upon a field of Silver.
Application Rules -
I. - Must be willing to follow the Code of the Phoenix (see below).
II. - Must be at least of moderate skill with both weapons and magic, and must possess exceptional skill in one or the other. Although Dragonriding skill is not required, having it would be in your favor.
III. - Must be willing to swear complete loyalty to the Empire, the Emperor, and the Knighthood.
IV. - Combat Experiance if some sort would speak highly, and RPing must be deemed to be at acceptable levels. (A sample will be required upon application) Experiance in one of the lower two Knighthoods helps, also.
I. - A Knight of the Phoenix may not attack a being that presents no threat. This does not mean that he or she may not attack an unarmed foe, however, should the said foe present a threat.
II. - A Knight of the Phoenix may not present a foe with disadvantagous odds, but may call for assistance if he or she is outnumbered in combat.
III. - A Knight of the Phoenix may not flee from combat, but if his or her life is imperiled without a worthwhite gain at stake, he or she may choose to make an honorable retreat.
IV. - A Knight of the Phoenix's honor does not require or even allow needless sacrifice. Although sacrifices are acceptable in times of -dire- need, they are considered the same as if you had murdered another Knight if un-needed.
V. - A Knight of the Phoenix is to act respectful and curtious to those above he or she and to those below. Thusly, disrespect for a person based on race, age, gender, creed, etc is unacceptable. Only personal experiance and loyalties may create such.
VI. - A Knight of the Phoenix should respect the enemy, even if he or she hates, detests, etc the said enemy.
VII. - A Knight of the Phoenix may practice whatever worship he or she sees fit, so long as it does not interfere with his or her duty, but he or she must also respect other individuals' choices in this area.
IIX.- A Knight of the Phoenix may not harm another Imperial Knight except in a duel on the field on honor, and even there they may not kill. Even in a duel, a non-accidental death is murder.
IX. - A Knight of the Phoenix may not harm Imperial Citizens or even enemy non-combatants. He or she must also accept any surrender that seemes genuine.
X. - A Knight of the Phoenix may place no authority higher than that of the Knighthood and the Empire.
Knight - This is the basic rank at which all Knights enter the Knighood at. Since most Knights of the Phoenix are risen from the other orders, they tend to take squires from Knights of the Lance or Knights of the Trilium. Although the lowest Knights of the Phoenix, they oft act as commanders to the lower orders.
Knight of the Ash - This rank is slightly above a Knight. Knights of the Ash oft act as commanders or coordinaters for teams of Knights. [Required for advancement - Some combat experiance, somewhat good preformance in conflict, and proof that one isn't going to be an idiot.]
Risen Knights - Risen Knights are the third rank up in the hierchy of the Knights of the Phoenix. They are required to have Dragonriding or Griffonriding skills, as they command fair sized legions of Knights and fight from the skies. [Required for Advancement - Dragon or Griffon Riding Skills, Abbility to use Lances, proven leadership skills.]
Knights of the Blaze - Knights of the Blaze are the second to highest ranking knights. Oft fighting from Dragonback also, Knights of the Blaze are the tactical commanders of large units of the Silver Dragonarmy, and are likely to be invited to the Emperor's Councils of War and of Peace. [Requirements for advancement - Tactical skill, skill at influencing, a record of victories.]
Knights of the Firestorm - Knights of the Firestorm are the highest level of normal Knights save the order's master. They command full Wings of the Silver Dragonarmy, and there are usually no more than three at a time, one to command each wing of the Silver Dragonarmy. [Requirements for advancement - An opening in the ranks, recomendation from one of the existing Knights of the Firestorm, and extreme tactical skill.]
Lord of Rebirth - The Lord of Rebirth is the Grand Master of the Order of the Knights of the Phoenix. His or her command of the Silver Dragonarmy is second only to that of the Lord Emperor's. He/she also has a seat on the Imperial Council. [Requirements for advancement - Extreme leadship skills, recomendation of the Lord Emperor himself, a record of victories as a Knight of the Firestorm.]

VI. - A Knight of the Trilium may not Imperial Knight except in a duel on the field on honor, and even there they may not kill. Even in a duel, a non-accidental death is murder.
VII. - A Knight of the Trilium may not cast a spell which would imperil his or her allies or himself/herself needlessly.

Mage-Knight - This is the basic rank at which all Knights enter the Order. Mage-Knights tend to work in smaller numbers than the other orders, oft either carrying out special asignments that require magic or offering magical aid to the group which they are attached to.
Knight of the Bud - This rank is slightly above a Mage-Knight. Knights of the Bud often act as advisors to the leaders of smaller companies of Knights and as directors of group spells. [Requirements for advancement - Fairly good magical skills, grasp of tactics, skill at applying magic to reinforce formations.]
Knight of the Bloom - Knights of the Bloom tend to act in a similiar manner to Knights of the Bud, but with larger groups. They're also more likely to carry out solo or small group missions that require higher skill levels and lesser numbers. [Requirements for advancement - Impressive magical skill, abbility to lead, skill at working unsupported.]
Knight of the Flora - Knights of the Flora are generally highly skilled magi who can fight alone or with a group. They will oftem be found leading smaller parties of Knights or magically directing assaults. [Requirements for advancement - Excellent magical abbility, High tactical skill, high leadership skill, high abbility to work alone.]
Knight of the Dawn - Knights of the Dawn are the five extremely skilled magi who, along with the Lord of the Trinity, make up the Council of the Trilium. They direct the general deployment of Knights of the Trilium and will ocasionally take on extremly difficult missions themselves. [Requirements for advancement - Extreme magical skill, a vacancy in the ranks, organizational slkill, recomendation of an existing Knight of the Dawn.]
Lord of the Trinity - The Lord of the Trinity is the head of the Order of the Trilium. He or she has nearly complete control over the Knights of the Trilium, and works with the Council of the Trilium to decide deployments. He/she also holds a seat on the Imperial Council.[Requirements for advancement - The Lord Emperor's approval, extraordinary magical and leadship abbility.]

The Symbol of the Knights of the Lance is a black lance, usually with azure accents and upon a field of Silver.

Knight of the Shaft - Knights of the Shaft are slightly more skilled than War-Knights. They tend to act as subordinates to Knights of the Phoenix or command small units in the absence of a Knight of the Ash. [Requirements for advancement - Good weapons skill, some leadership skill, advisory skill.]
Knight of the Blade - Knights of the Blade are skills warriors who tend to lead medium sized bands under the direction of Knights of the Phoenix. They are oft seen leading charges on the field of battle. [Requirements for advancement - High weapons skill, leadership skill, subordinate skill.]
Knight of the Spear - Knights of the Spear are masters of physical combat, being known to fight medium sized groups of enemies alone. They tend to either lead regiments into battle or to attack singlehandedly. [Requirements for advancement - Supreme weapons skill, abbility to fight alone, courage in excess.]
Knight of the Guard - The Knights of the Guard are the thirteen weaponry masters who work as the advisors and guards to the Lord of the Javalin. They have also been known to lead large groups into battle. [Requirements for advancement - Mastery of weapons, high tactical skill, recomendation of an existing member.]
Lord of the Javalin - The Lord of the Javalin is the highest member of the Order of the Lance. He/she directs deployments and division of Knights, as well as holding a seat on the Imperial Council. [Requirements for advancement - Lord Emperor's recomendation, tactical skill, organizational skill.]
